Neurodevelopmental Assessment

A neurodevelopmental assessment is needed when, for one or another reason, the child is not developing in terms of cognitive abilities compared to peers their age. The reasons for this delay in development can be genetic or due to other complex factors.

Compared to our other assessments (such as psychoeducational or neuropsychological), a neurodevelopment assessment will primarily focus on the cognitive and adaptive skills of the child using our expertise in developmental psychology as a lens to help understand the trajectory of your child’s brain development. This information will then be used to make predictions and provide recommendations for support at home and at school that can help facilitate appropriate development based on your child’s unique profile.
